These guests aren't moved by the word "sustainable" printed somewhere on a page. They're moved by things they can verify with their own eyes: a knowledgeable guide, a controlled trail, a specific, checkable fact about the place they're actually standing in.
That's exactly why an unverifiable claim costs you more here than it would elsewhere. Costa Rica's tourism sector is already facing scrutiny for operators putting eco-labels on conventional tours without the practices behind them, in the country's more accessible, more crowded destinations. A guest who did the extra work to reach the Osa, because its remoteness is supposed to mean something more real, is exactly the guest who notices fastest when a "give-back" claim turns out to be another sticker. A $25 contribution that routes straight to the NGO's own donation page, confirmed by the NGO itself, is the difference between a claim this guest can check and one they simply have to trust.

This isn't only for practitioners chasing visibility. If your practice or retreat already has a full book, certification isn't about getting found. It's about becoming the standard your existing clients describe to the people they refer.
If you're managing a property, not a single treatment table, the certification mechanics work a little differently, front-desk training, checkout flow, CST overlap, liability. We've laid all of that out on a page built specifically for retreat and lodge owners.
For Retreat & Lodge Owners →We're asking you to stake your name to a young program. Fair question to ask back: why trust us? The pilot's methodology and results are published as they happen, including if the results aren't flattering.
Read the Research →Certification is limited to a small founding cohort on the Osa Peninsula during the pilot. Being certified early means being named early, not one of many, later.
One addition to your practice or property, not a change to how you run it. Free to join, five minutes to apply.
